Try shopping for the same or similar items at online stores and taking those prices into your local hardware store. You may find some home improvement supplies that are less expensive online and some that are better bought locally.
It only takes little patience and persistence to save a lot of money on all the tools and items you may need to complete your own do it yourself home improvement projects. Buying online may not be a preferable solution for some things like lumber supplies but it could save you a lot of money and time when it comes to other things like power tools and instructional books and videos.
